The role of the committee
The Coombes Woodlands Committee (CWC) is constituted as a standing Committee of Barkham Parish Council and Arborfield & Newland Parish Council (referred to as ‘the Councils’).
The Committee is empowered by the Councils to act on its behalf on all matters relating to The Coombes Woodlands, owned jointly by the Parish Councils, hereafter referred to as PCWoodlands.
The Committee meet as workload requires, with a minimum of three meetings per annum. At these meetings the public can submit questions and enquiries about the woodlands. Committee members meet up in person and make joint decisions about what happens in the woodlands, its maintenance and any repair works needed, how the allocated budget is spent and also look at and review surveys and reports on biodiversity.
It is the responsibility of the committee to oversee and administer all aspects of managing The PCWoodlands, on behalf of the Councils.
The committee has various maintenance, financial and general responsibilities.

Committee meetings
